• Region - North America • Game settings - 2/3 Rounds, 99 Seconds. • Make sure to do the Online Tutorial for Online access before you participate in the tournament! • Competitors, do not start the match before the streamer gives you the OK. We cannot spectate the match if it's happening mid-session. • As a reminder, GGST's lobby system is a password search system. You cannot invite people to your lobbies! General Tournament Rules • Free Entry • Only one console/account per entrant. • Players must have wired connection, with an upload speed of above 3 Mbps. • Double Elimination Format • Each set prior to Top 8 is best 2 out of 3 games. Top 8 onwards is best 3 out of 5 games. • Loser of a game/match in a set may change character, winner may not. If the loser chooses random select and proceeds to win, they must pick random select again, NOT the character. • Dropped connections during a game/match incurs a penalty. 1) The player who caused the drop out must surrender one round in the game/match. 2) An additional/2nd drop-out/disconnect will result in surrender a game/match. 3) A third drop-out/disconnect will result in conceding the set. • In the case of a set in which two players are unable to connect to one another, the situation will be handled on a case-by-case basis (currently). • Rules are subject to change and enforced by the Casa family staff.
Competitor Responsibilities
• Players must have wired connection, with an upload speed of above 3 Mbps, according to PSN. Proof may be asked if issues arise.
• If your connection is extremely poor (judged by staff), for multiple competitors, you may be DQ'd to protect the integrity of the tournament.
• Either:
1) Change your Discord name to your Challonge and in-game name.
2) Inform your @bracket runner of who you are.
• On tournament day -- after the initial check-in for the tournament -- once a set has been called, competitors have 5 minutes to CHECK-IN; else risk DQ.
• Upon the end of a set, either player must report their set to your @bracket runner in Discord.
• DO NOT compete in Round 1 until the tournament has officially begun. Brackets are automatically reorganized by Challonge prior to the start of the tournament to account for competitors who have not checked in. (This usually takes a few minutes past start time to assure proper seeding)
